Kroconnect
Contrl
Last modified:
Overview
Contrl is a business system for small and medium-sized businesses with support for backoffice, point of sale (POS), service management, and more. The integration syncs orders from WooCommerce to Contrl via Kroconnect and handles product mapping through article IDs.
Prerequisites
- Contrl enabled in the Kroconnect integration
- Kroconnect Workflow ID for order synchronization
- Contrl account with access to the relevant workflow in Kroconnect
Settings
The integration settings are found under WooCommerce → Kroconnect → Contrl.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Enable | Enables the Contrl integration. |
| Contrl order number column | Displays an additional column with the Contrl order number in the WooCommerce orders list. |
| Contrl order number column title | Customizes the heading of the order number column. Default: Contrl order number. |
| Order sync workflow ID | The Kroconnect Workflow ID to trigger when an order is sent to Contrl. |
| Order sync trigger | Controls when orders are automatically sent to Contrl. See options below. |
Order sync trigger options:
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| On payment_complete() trigger | Sends the order on completed payment, including manual payment methods (BACS, cheque, cash on delivery). |
| When WooCommerce order status changes to Processing | Sends the order when the status changes to Processing. |
| When WooCommerce order status changes to Completed | Sends the order when the status changes to Completed. |
| Manually | Does not send the order automatically — syncing is handled manually from the orders list. |
Order synchronization
The order is sent to Contrl via Kroconnect when the configured trigger fires. The same order will not be sent again if it already has a Contrl order number registered, or if a sync request was made within the last four minutes.
Manual sync can always be triggered directly from the orders list using the Send order to Kroconnect [Contrl] button on each order. The button is not shown for orders that have already been synced or already have a Contrl order number.
Product fields
The Contrl integration adds a Contrl article ID field to products. This field is typically populated automatically when products are synced from Contrl, but can also be edited manually. The article ID is mandatory when sending an order from WooCommerce to Contrl.
- Simple products – the field appears on the product’s General tab.
- Variable products – the field appears per variation and can be set individually.
Order number column
When the Contrl order number column setting is enabled, the Contrl order number is displayed as an extra column in the WooCommerce orders list. The column works with both classic order management and HPOS (High-Performance Order Storage).
